Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Turkey in November to participate in the 31st session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-31). This information was conveyed by State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir during a meeting with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Musa Kulaklıkaya on the sidelines of the 23rd OIC Council of Foreign Ministers’ meeting held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting held on Thursday (August 27), representatives from Bangladesh and Turkey exchanged views on various regional issues. They also expressed interest in working closely together on matters of mutual interest.
Bilateral relations between the two countries were also discussed. While expressing satisfaction with the existing cooperation, both sides conveyed a shared interest in further expanding collaboration in trade, investment, diplomacy, and other important areas.
Emphasis was also placed on elevating the relationship between Bangladesh and Turkey to a higher level.
At the time, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir informed the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman would visit Turkey to attend the upcoming COP-31 conference.
