Prime Minister Tareque Rahman has urged world leaders to work together based on mutual cooperation, empathy, and a shared sense of responsibility to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He made this call in a video message sent to the ‘SDG Moment’ event organized by the United Nations on Saturday (September 19). K M Nazmul Haque, Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, confirmed this information.
In the video message, the Prime Minister stated, “We are significantly lagging in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Now, we must take effective measures, and everyone must work together.”
He emphasized the need for further strengthening international partnerships, exchanging experiences, and taking collective initiatives for SDG implementation.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Tareque Rahman is scheduled to depart Dhaka for New York, USA, on Monday (September 21) to attend the 81st high-level session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA-81).
