A bilateral meeting has been held between Prime Minister Tareque Rahman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During the meeting, the top leaders of both countries expressed a strong commitment to further consolidate the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Turkey and to explore new avenues for future cooperation based on mutual interests and shared priorities.
The bilateral meeting between Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tareque Rahman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took place on Tuesday evening, local time, at the Turkish House, located at 821 United Nations Plaza, near the UN Headquarters in New York.
AKM Nazmul Haque, Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, confirmed this information.
The Assistant Press Secretary stated that during the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest with the aim of further strengthening and diversifying the historical and friendly relations between Bangladesh and Turkey. Concurrently, they discussed the potential for further expanding existing cooperation in various sectors, including economy, trade, and investment.
He added that during the discussions, emphasis was placed on continuing close cooperation and coordination between the two countries on important regional and international issues, as well as matters of mutual interest.
The two leaders also reiterated their commitment to further solidify the existing friendly ties between Bangladesh and Turkey and to open up new avenues for future collaboration based on mutual interests and shared priorities.
