Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud held a meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, who is currently visiting New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
During the meeting, held at the UN Bilateral Booth (Gall-7) at the United Nations Headquarters on Friday (September 25) afternoon, local time in New York, discussions focused on further strengthening the historical and fraternal relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
The Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary, AKM Nazmul Haque, provided this information.
He stated that during the meeting, views were exchanged on bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, manpower, development cooperation, and regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister emphasized further deepening and diversifying the existing friendly relations between the two countries. Concurrently, possibilities for expanding Saudi investment and economic cooperation in Bangladesh were also discussed. The Saudi Foreign Minister expressed Saudi Arabia’s interest in advancing Dhaka-Riyadh relations further.
Views were also exchanged on various regional and international issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
