Dengue: Record Deaths, Hospitalizations in a Single Day

At least nine people have died from dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,571 people were admitted to hospitals.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported this information on Tuesday.

This marks the highest number of deaths and hospital admissions due to dengue in a single day this year.

According to DGHS data, a total of 130 people have died from dengue in the country so far this year, while the total number of identified cases has reached 45,394.

Previously, last year, 102,861 people were infected with dengue and 413 died. On the other hand, in 2024, 101,214 people were infected and 575 died.
