A bilateral meeting was held between Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Tareq Rahman and Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, held on Thursday (September 24) at the UN Headquarters in New York, discussions focused on further strengthening bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between Bangladesh and Thailand. The meeting with the Thai Prime Minister had previously been confirmed in the Prime Minister’s New York visit schedule.
At the meeting, the two Prime Ministers exchanged views on expanding trade and investment, enhancing economic and development cooperation, and strengthening partnerships in various areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
They also discussed various regional and international issues. Emphasis was placed on further expanding cooperation in sectors of mutual interest to both nations.
Prime Minister Tareq Rahman arrived in New York on September 21 to attend the UN General Assembly session. During his visit, he is participating in multiple meetings with heads of government from various countries and representatives of international organizations.
Meanwhile, Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is also visiting New York to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. A key objective of his visit was to advance cooperation in various fields, including bilateral relations, economy, trade, and investment.
This meeting between the two Prime Ministers underscored the importance of further strengthening the existing relationship between Bangladesh and Thailand and creating new opportunities for trade, investment, and economic cooperation in the future.
