Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman
On Monday (December 29) in the afternoon, Regional Election Officer Md. Dr. Yunus Ali. Senior leaders of the party submitted nomination papers on behalf of Shafiqur Rahman.
Jamaat leader Ehsanul Mahbub Jubair told reporters while submitting the nomination papers, Dr. to strengthen the voting rights and democratic process of the country. Shafiqur Rahman is participating in this election. He said, “Jamaat-e-Islami always respects the voting rights of the people. It is our political responsibility to participate in the elections respecting the decision of the people.”
He further said that Jamaat is involved in the election process with the hope that people will be able to express their opinion freely through this election.
Before last December 25 Dr. A delegation on behalf of Shafiqur Rahman collected the nomination papers from the office of the Returning Officer in Agargaon.
Note, the last day for submission of nomination papers to the Returning Officer and Assistant Returning Officer for the Thirteenth National Assembly Election was Monday (December 29).
