Across the country, 9 children have died from suspected measles symptoms in the last 24 hours. Within this period, 1,341 new individuals have been infected with suspected and confirmed measles.
This information was confirmed in a notification sent to the media by the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday (September 27).
It stated that the number of patients identified with suspected measles symptoms in the last 24 hours is 1,228, and the total number of measles patients from March 15 to September 27 is 188,028.
In the last 24 hours, the number of confirmed measles patients is 113. From March 15 to September 27, the total number of confirmed measles patients stands at 21,212.
A total of 166,310 individuals with measles symptoms have been admitted to hospitals from March 15 to September 27.
During the same period, 159,519 individuals have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
In the last 24 hours, 9 deaths have occurred due to suspected measles symptoms. From March 15 to September 23, a total of 995 children have died from suspected measles symptoms.
Notably, no deaths from confirmed measles occurred in the last 24 hours. However, from March 15 to September 27, 101 deaths have been attributed to confirmed measles.
