Amirul Islam, New York: Prime Minister Tareq Rahman, currently in New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, participated in a breakfast event for world leaders.
The event took place on Tuesday (September 22) at 7:30 AM local time at the North Dialogue Lounge of the UN Headquarters, hosted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres. Prime Minister Tareq Rahman was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, who also participated. Heads of state and government from various countries, along with their spouses, were invited to the event.
Upon their arrival at the venue, UN Secretary-General António Guterres greeted the Prime Minister and his wife and exchanged pleasantries with them. The Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary, Hasan Shiplu, provided this information.
After the breakfast event, the Prime Minister will attend the session of the United Nations General Assembly. He also has scheduled meetings with heads of state and government from various countries outside the session hall. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the General Assembly session on the afternoon of September 24.
